Our ‘Best Buy’ Steam Mops for 2016

Picture of the words Best Buy in green 3d letteringBefore we tell you what we think are the best buys on the market in the UK currently, it probably makes sense to explain the rationale behind our choices, and how we go about deciding which models to recommend.

As you’ll probably already have noticed steam mops aren’t the most expensive products in the world, ranging from about £25 up to about £150, and most peoples’ budget should be able to stretch to at least a basic model. Some of the cheapest ones don’t cost much more than a traditional mop and bucket.

Having said that, we still think that budget is a key consideration in making any purchase, so it doesn’t make sense to just pick the most expensive models which obviously tend to pack in more features than the budget models. We try to strike a balance between what we think an ordinary person would consider a reasonable amount to spend and product performance. Some people (and competing manufacturers) will undoubtedly disagree with our choices, but we also research a large volume of ‘buyer feedback’ on major retailer’s sites to be sure that the products we recommend are also popular with buyers and garner lots and lots of positive feedback.

So without further ado here are our top picks, drumroll please…

Our Best Buy basic steam mops are

2. Our runner up is the Morphy Richards 720020 9-in-1 Upright and Handheld Steam Mop. This is a very popular model and also great value at around £55. We felt the Vax was the better product but at almost half the price this could be well worth looking into too.
