This Hoover steam mop is at the lower end of the price scale and it’s a pretty decent budget option. It works particularly well on tiled floors, although it does a reasonable job on laminate as well. It doesn’t use detergent and so is good if you want a chemical-free clean. Customers reported that it tackles dirt well, leaving clean, streak-free floors. It’s good in tight spaces and at getting into corners, having a triangular head. The mop is lightweight, manoeuvres well and is generally regarded as easy to use. It has a trigger to produce steam, but users didn’t find holding this down a problem. It has a 6 metre cord length which is adequate.
The mop comes with a carpet attachment and uses reported that it does a good job of refreshing carpets and rugs – generally sprucing them up, even if it doesn’t offer a deep clean
The tank is fillable directly from the tap and the product includes a limescale filter, to prevent build up. It heats up in 30 seconds and then produces steam for about 20 minutes.
The reported con is that it only comes with one cloth and its worth checking that you can source more, as some users have found this difficult.
