The Kärcher SC2 is a great machine when it comes to cleaning performance. It cleans and disinfects without the need for detergents and it provide effective results for almost every job that you put it to. This model from Kärcher is also easy to use and it comes with a range of features like variable steam control and continuous refilling to make the users life a little easier. It costs a little more than some of the competing models, but if it is in your budget, it is worth the extra money.
If you are looking for an effective multi-purpose steam cleaner, then the Kärcher SC2 might be exactly what you are looking for. This model comes ready to steam hard floors and clean a range of surfaces both hard and upholstered. It employs a design that is more like a cylinder vacuum than a steam mop and this does have its advantages and disadvantages, but with 1500-watts of steaming power and a range of accessories, it does deliver good results on a variety of different tasks.
For effectiveness, this Kärcher machine does vary from job to job. The user gets really good performance for cleaning and disinfecting hard floors and it does work well on most of the jobs like cleaning counters, windows and bathroom fixtures. The one issue is that is does take a little bit of work when it comes to remove deep caked-on grease and grime. The steam definitely helps to loosen this stuff up, but if it has been on the surface for a long time, it might require some scrubbing to really get things clean,
Versatility is where this machine really shows up big. The consumer gets a lot of attachments that are well-designed to handle many different jobs. This set comes with 2 extensions, a floor cleaner, a hand tool, a detailing tool, a nylon brush and cloth covers for the hand tool and the floor cleaner.
The SC2 steam cleaner is also user-friendly. The different attachments and heads can be changed out pretty easily and the machine is easy to fill. The body of the machine can be left in the middle of the room and you will have a pretty good working radius with the extension hose. It also has a nice large water capacity. It fills to about 1-litre of water for a good amount of operating time and the user can even remove the tank and add water to continue working when the machine runs low.
The care and maintenance for this Kärcher machine is fairly light. The cleaning pads can be washed in the washing machine and the descaling process is simple. The user can avoid having to descale the machine from time to time by using distilled water, but if you want to use tap water, you will have to perform this maintenance task. Kärcher sells a descaling mix that can be applied by making the solution and leaving it in the boiler for eight hours and then rinsing the machine to remove any residual descaler that may be left behind.
