You should always check the instructions before using a new product but, as a general rule, most steam mops can be used to ‘refresh’ carpets. Few manufacturers claim their products will actually clean carpets, only that they will plump up the carpet pile and remove odours (and maybe minor stains). Many buyers though have reported great results so it’s worth checking for user feedback.

Most basic steam mops won’t come with a glider attachment specifically for carpets but many of the multi-function products do.

Steam mops can be used to clean a wide variety of surfaces including
